Renovation FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much will my renovation cost?

The cost varies depending on the scope of the project, materials chosen, and any unexpected issues that may arise. We provide a detailed estimate during the planning phase and a quote before deposit.

  • Do I have to pay upfront?

A 10% deposit secures your spot on our schedule. After that, there will be two 40% instalments - once prior to purchasing materials, and once after a completion date is determined.

  • How long will the renovation take?

The timeline typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the project. We provide a clear timeline once the scope has been confirmed.

  • How will the renovation impact my daily life?

This is an important discussion to have with your client rep prior to starting the project. They will go over the site protection, dust control, portable washrooms, and other details that could be applicable to your project.

  • Why is a client rep important?

Your client rep sits on the same side of the table as you. They have your best interest at heart. If you are unsure or uncomfortable talking to the tradespeople or project manager, your client rep can do it for you.

  • Do you use licensed trades?

We always build to code! That is a non-negotiable for us. We always use licensed and certified trades people.

  • How are you able to offer a lifetime warranty on waterproofing when other contractors can’t?

We would like to take the credit, but we really can't. It's no secret, we are huge fans of Schluter products.

    ●  When used properly Schluter has seamless integration of materials including:

    - waterproofing of shower and bathtub enclosures

    - steam rooms

    - anti-fracture membranes for tile floors

    - heated floors and seats

    ●  Because we have been properly trained and follow the correct procedures we are in the 2% of contractors who can offer a lifetime warranty on all schluter products.
