A Point of Focus
When it comes to atmosphere and aesthetics, nothing beats the harmony of form and function created by a fireplace. Our client wanted a focal point for the large vaulted living room in the home, and a linear fireplace was the perfect choice.
The Process.
We removed the original fireplace and wall cavity, and capped old fireplace vent.
The clean, modern look was carried forward by carefully framing in a custom cabinet for electronics and gaming systems. We utilized steel-stud to ensure that heat and burn ratings were maintained around the fireplace.
The gas line was connected to the new 6 foot long Enviro fireplace, and installed with a heat venting kit. This kit expels 45% of the heat through a specialized tubing system around the TV to prevent it from melting or being damaged.
Next, a custom cement board from floor to ceiling was installed, and we brought the edges and seams to a clean finish.
The client was extremely pleased with the final results, and we were happy to make it happen!
