Electrical & Appliance Updates
Replacing dated electrical and appliances is an intrinsic part of updating your home. We upgraded the furnace and water heater to high-efficiency models, which save homeowners energy and money on gas bills. In the utilities room, we are also installing a gas dryer and a fridge/freezer combo. We moved the ducting and walls for the room to accommodate multiple appliances. Additionally, we installed a high end AC unit with touch screen controls.
We also updated the electrical system, as the house came with 100 amp service. The system was upgraded to 200 amp service, with BC Hydro bringing in new conductors, a new metre, and a new panel. All wiring was subsequently connected to the new panel, which made circuits available to add new loads to the house. This is fantastic if the homeowners add more equipment or utilities to the home at a later date, like a hot tub!
